Montage’s well-deserved reputation is due to its team of over 25 very experienced and senior consultants who have over 300 years of collective business experience.


Tony Millar

CEO / Principal Consultant

Tony has over 20 years of experience of driving value from organisational investments in IT. After starting off in management accounting and transforming a large UK retailer’s BI and performance management function, Tony has spent the last decade consulting and leading large complex BI projects in varied sectors throughout the UK, Europe, US and Australasia.

Along with his business knowledge in various sectors, Tony completed an MBA in 2003 researching the key variable in IT/IS success and concludes that any “IT payback” ultimately depends on the need for alignment between the IT and organisational strategy. Other qualifications include a B.Com from Canterbury (NZ), post graduate accounting (ACCA,UK) and project management ( PRINCE2 accredited practitioner).

As CEO of Montage; Tony brings a passion for success along with strong leadership that ensures alignment between people, process and technology.

 


Duncan Turner

Practice Lead - Business Intelligence & PMO

Duncan has over 15 years of experience in the leadership of PMOs/Project Management services and Business Information analysis. He has worked in the UK and New Zealand in the Health, Local Government/Government and Construction sectors. Most recently Duncan led a business unit of over 60 Project Managers and implemented a Project Portfolio Management system and program governance in a complex operating environment.

At Montage Duncan works with our clients to help them develop sustainable strategies for improving fact based decision making. He is passionate about growing potential into results and brings strong capability in aligning people to purpose and strategic change management.


Simon Lind

Practice Lead - Montage Online

Simon has over 15 years’ experience in delivering solutions throughout Australasia and prior to joining Montage, he worked with leading HRIS solution providers including PayGlobal, ERMLive (now Honey Software) and EmployeeConnect. Holding a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Human Resources and Marketing Simon is also a Microsoft Certified Professional. Having implemented tailored CRM systems using solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics, Pivotal and ACCPAC CRM, Simon has the capability to break down complex processes resulting in comprehensive data capture and increased operational efficiency.  

At Montage, Simon leads the Montage Online practice delivering our own business process automation software to clients nationwide. Montage Online provides clients with a tailored solution without the need for costly development or large project teams. Simon believes it’s about understanding, not prescribing which will deliver the best solution for our clients - no preconceived ideas or perceptions!


John Saywell

CEO - RPM

John has worked as a business consultant for 25 years and has helped SMEs throughout Australasia to implement reporting and performance management systems.  John is a regular presenter on Cloud BI best-practice drawing on his 30 years of experience both as an industry expert and consultant.

The company’s cloud-based RPM software integrates with the leading systems and is used by more than 500 customers. The RPM product won the TUANZ innovation award for best new web solution in 2006 and became part of the Montage professional services offering in 2013.

John heads the RPM practice at Montage and leads a team of software developers, consultants and support staff who assist companies to make smarter, data-driven decisions.


Paul Brown

Managing Consultant

Having worked in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, Paul has over 20 years of experience supporting organizations with their information requirements. Prior to joining Montage in 2009, Paul was responsible for the Business Intelligence Function at a NZ District Health Board.

As a Managing Consultant, Paul has a diverse role at Montage, from leading the Central Region, to Partner Management to leading and working in Project teams. Paul is passionate about ensuring BI solutions are adding real business benefits. Using Business Analytic tools like Tableau have helped Paul build the bridge between traditional business intelligence tools and the end user.


Chip Felton

Principal Consultant - Business Analytics

Chip has spent the past two decades helping organisations turn data into actionable business information (BI). He has extensive experience in the health care and government sectors, including health policy and program development, program evaluation and research, health informatics, performance management, and executive leadership. Chip has Master Degrees in Computer Science and also Social Welfare.

Before moving to New Zealand in 2008, Chip served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the New York State Office of Mental Health in the US, the agency responsible for all public funded mental health services delivered to New York’s 19 million citizens. He was responsible for all clinical and administrative information systems, led the development of a comprehensive performance management system and the supporting BI platform, and led organizational change efforts to develop an agency-wide culture of information use and data-driven decision making.

At Montage, Chip is Principal Consultant in the healthcare and government sectors, and works with all clients as needed concerning dashboards and advanced analytics. Within Montage, he assesses emergent BI technologies, evaluates BI products, and conducts quality assurance to ensure that the methods and technologies used with clients are state-of-the-art best practices.


Will Parker

Principal Consultant - Business Analysis

Will has over 16 years of experience in Business Analysis, Change Management and Process Improvement with a focus on helping people understand what they need to do in order to deliver clear business value. He has managed large scale PRINCE2 projects and worked within PMO functions for development of best practices.  Having led teams of 40+, prepared business cases, briefing documents, delivered coaching and training courses, Will is a skilled, hands-on and collaborative consultant.  He is results driven, empathic and enjoys building people’s understanding. A key strength of Will’s is his ability to identify complex business needs and recommend solutions to meet those business needs in a simple to understand way. 

At Montage, Will is responsible for partnering with our clients in 3 ways; 1) Bridging the gap between Senior Managers, Users, and Technical Teams; 2) Providing BI Analysis, Integration and Training as required & 3) To support Organizations in maturely asking the ‘right questions’ of their data so they can make informed decisions and deliver success.


Chris Robinson

Principal Consultant - Data Warehousing

Chris has over 25 years of experience in software solutions and project leadership within industries such as Health, Manufacturing, Travel, Transport and Call Centres.

Chris has worked both in the UK and in New Zealand, since completing a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) from Canterbury University. His experience particularly in the design and development of Data Warehouses has been in the use of Dimensional Modelling and its use in the development of Data Warehouses.


Hayden Park

BI Lead

Hayden brings over 15 years consulting experience, the majority of this specialising in implementing leading edge data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.  He has a proven track record in architecting and delivering large scale data projects in a variety of industries around the globe.

Hayden’s experience is a blend of consulting, in-house project execution and operating business units with heavy analytical workloads.  Through his career he has serviced clients and worked for corporates in industries including aviation, utilities, insurance, health, telecommunications, banking, FMCG, life sciences and manufacturing. 

At Montage, Hayden applies his passion for empowering clients to turn data into insights by providing sustainable solutions and frameworks that provide information to the fingertips of those that need it.  He is also a keen advocate of the efficiencies and cost advantages to be gained through innovative use of technology – such as the use of self-service analytics platforms and cloud based technologies.


Jeff Komen

Sales & Marketing Specialist

Since graduating from University of Canterbury in 2006, Jeff has been working in a variety of technical Sales and Marketing roles, primarily in data and communications. Jeff has always taken a keen interest in process improvement and effective use of data.

Jeff has recently returned to Christchurch after travelling throughout Europe. Based in London, Jeff worked for Tableau Software, assisting user adoption amongst a wide variety of UK based clients who all wanted to see and understand their data, from start-ups to large corporates.

At Montage, Jeff is responsible for our Sales & Marketing function, sharing his passion for data, analysis and proactive insights with both new and existing Montage clients.
