South Island Business Intelligence Cluster User Group
The South Island BI Cluster User Group
We have received a lot of feedback from members of the South Island BI Cluster (SIBIC) that they would like to engage and network with like-minded Business Intelligence Professionals. With this in mind we've decided to build on what already exists in a virtual form (the LinkedIn South Island BI Cluster) and expand to the real world in with a User Group. The first SIBIC group event for 2013 will take place on the 4th of April.
SIBIC User Group Event - 4 April 2013
Mission
The objective of these regular events is to strengthen partnerships and establish a creative environment for like-minded BI professionals to get together and share ideas, technology, trends and topics.
The SIBIC group will be technology agnostic, focusing rather on broader Business Intelligence topics. It will be a living, growing, learning environment; driven by passion, supported by skills and knowledge of the community. It will provide leadership and collaboration, maturing the market for Business Intelligence, as well as the BI professionals who will be implementing the solutions.
The SIBIC user group aims to be a leading BI community in Australasia within its first two years of existence. Through passion and knowledge, this community will put the New Zealand BI market on the map.
Organisers
The SIBIC user group will be administered by a passionate bunch of people who love BI, and love sharing knowledge. The organising committee will be headed by Suné de Vos (Senior Consultant, Montage Business Intelligence).
Event Details
The SIBIC user group will initially be based around Christchurch. The meetings will be well communicated on LinkedIn and structured to ensure the community gets most possible value for their time. The events will be free of charge to the community; with sessions presented by voluntary speakers and presenters. The first quarterly event for 2013 will be taking place on Thursday 4 April 2013.
We’re keen to hear your thoughts on this, as well as please let us know if you have any particular interests in the field so we can ensure we provide a good focus to our discussions. Please forward your details to: sune.deVos@montage.co.nz or leave a comment on the discussion.
More details will be communicated closer to the time, but be sure to keep your diary open on the day.
